About the Race

Date:           Saturday May 1, 2010

 

Distances:     5-mile and 10-mile timed run

 

Start Time:  8:00 a.m.

 

Location:     Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake (MAP)

                    940 E. Lawther Drive

 

Directions:   From the intersection of Buckner Blvd and Garland Rd, go south on Garland Rd for 0.6 miles. Take a right on Emerald Isle (Barbec’s restaurant is there at the turn) and go approx. 0.5 miles. Take a left on Winfrey Point Drive at the dead-end, just past the ball fields on your left. The building at the top of the hill is Winfrey Point. This is where registration, merchandise sales, and the awards ceremony will be held. The race begins straight down the hill from the building, on the lake side.

Race Day Schedule:

7:00 am – Registration and Pre-registration Bib Pickup open

7:45 am – Registration closes – You will not be included in the results if you arrive after this time!

8:00 am – Race Start (starts down the hill on the lake side)

9:00 am - Join Codger at Winfrey Point (circle drive in front of Winfrey Point)

9:30 am – Kids’ 1K Race (in the grassy field, behind the baseball field/parking area)

10:00 am – Awards

10:30 am - Post Race Entertainment with Codger

                            There will be free pizza from Pizza Hut and Heineken beer after the race at Winfrey Point.

                            And you get free admission to the White Rock Lake Festival with your race bib.
